Applied
Kinesiology, was founded in 1964 by the American
chiropractor George Goodheart and are now used by
chiropractors, osteopaths, medical doctors,
dentists and others with a license to diagnose.
Dr. George Goodheart found that evaluation of
normal and abnormal body function could be
accomplished by using muscle tests. Since the
original discovery, the principle has broadened
to include evaluation of the nervous, vascular,
and lymphatic systems, nutrition, acupuncture,
and cerebrospinal fluid function. .
Kinesiology is defined
primarily as the use of muscle testing to identify
imbalances in the body's structural, chemical,
emotional or other energy, to establish the body's
priority healing needs, and to evaluate energy changes
brought about by a broad spectrum of both manual and
non-manual therapeutic procedures. Kinesiology,
therefore, may be understood as a system of natural
health care which combines muscle monitoring with the
principles of Chinese medicine to assess energy and
body function, applying a range of gentle yet powerful
healing techniques to improve health, wellbeing and
vitality.
